The Surah derived its name from the words lima tuharrimu of the very first verse. This too is not a title of its subject matter, but the name implies that it is the Surah in which the incident of tahrim (prohibition, forbiddance) has been mentioned.

Surah An-Naml · Neml

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verses around 27:33

  1. Ayah 30

    إِنَّهُ مِن سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

    O, gerçekten de Süleyman'dan geliyor ve gerçekten de içinde şunlar yazılı: Rahman ve rahim Allah Adıyla.

  2. Ayah 31

    أَلَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ

    Bana karşı yücelik davasına girişmeyin ve teslim olarak gelin bana.

  3. Ayah 32

    قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ

    Ey ulular dedi, şu işi ne yapacağım, bana bir rey verin, sizi çağırmadan kesin bir karar vermedim.

  4. Ayah 33

    قَالُوا نَحْنُ أُولُو قُوَّةٍ وَأُولُو بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ

    Biz dediler; güçlükuvvetli ve şiddetli savaşır bir topluluğuz, fakat emir senin, ne yapacaksan sen düşün, yap.

  5. Ayah 34

    قَالَتْ إِنَّ الْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوا أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَا أَذِلَّةً ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

    Dedi ki: Padişahlar, bir şehre girdiler mi, o şehri harap ederler ve halkının yücelerini aşağılık bir hale getirirler ve bunlar da böyle yapacaklar.

  6. Ayah 35

    وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنَاظِرَةٌ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُونَ

    Onlara bir armağan göndereyim de bakalım elçiler, dönüp ne cevap getirecekler?

  7. Ayah 36

    فَلَمَّا جَاءَ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍ فَمَا آتَانِيَ اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا آتَاكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ

    Elçiler, Süleyman'a gelince Süleyman, bana dedi, mal göndererek yardım mı ediyorsunuz? Allah'ın bana verdikleri, sizin getirdiklerinizden daha da hayırlı, fakat siz, armağanınızla sevinir, övünürsünüz.

The Quran

The Quran is the holy scripture of Islam. Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
