About this Surah

It is derived from the sentence idha nudiya-lis-salat-imin-yaum-il- Jumu'ati of verse 9. Although in this Surah injunctions about the Friday congregational Prayer also have been given, yet 'Jumu'ah' is not the title of its subject-matter as a whole, but this name too, like the names of other Surahs, is only a symbolic title.

Surah Al-Mu'minun · Mü'minûn

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verses around 23:41

  1. Ayah 38

    إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Bu, ancak yalan yere Allah'a iftira eden bir adam ve biz, ona inanmayız.

  2. Ayah 39

    قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ

    Rabbim dedi, beni yalanlamalarına karşı sen yardım et bana.

  3. Ayah 40

    قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ

    Tanrı, az bir zamanda dedi, herhalde nadim olacaklar.

  4. Ayah 41

    فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

    Gerçek ve yerinde gelen bir bağırışla onları helak ediverdik de selle sürüklenip gelen çerçöpe döndürdük; artık uzaklık, zulmeden topluluğa.

  5. Ayah 42

    ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ

    Sonra onların ardından, başka bir nesil meydana getirdik.

  6. Ayah 43

    مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ

    Hiçbir ümmet, helak edilmesi mukadder olan zamanı ileriye alamayacağı gibi geriye de atamaz.

  7. Ayah 44

    ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Sonra birbiri ardınca peygamberlerimizi gönderdik. Bir ümmete peygamber geldi mi yalanladılar onu, biz de bir kısmını, bir kısmının peşine takıp birbiri ardınca helak ettik onları ve adları, sözleri kaldı ancak; artık uzaklık inanmayan topluluğa.

The Quran

The Quran is the holy scripture of Islam. Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
