About this Surah

This Surah comprises several discourses which were revealed on different occasions during the period ranging probably between the end of A.H. 3 and the end of A.H. 4 or the beginning of A.H. 5. Although it is difficult to determine the exact dates of their revelations, yet it is possible to assign to them a fairly correct period with the help of the Commandments and the events mentioned therein and the Traditions concerning them.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. Ayah 77

    أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً ۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ ۗ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا

    A nuk i ke parë ata (o Muhammed!), të cilëve u është thënë: “Tërhiqni duart tuaja nga lufta, falnie namazin dhe jepni zeqatin!” e, kur pas kësaj, iu urdhërua që të luftojnë, një grup prej tyre u frikua nga njerëzit (mohuesit), ashtu si i frikohen Perëndisë, ose dhe më tepër dhe thirrën: “O Zoti ynë! Pse na urdhërove të luftojmë? Ah, sikur të na kishe kursyer edhe për një kohë të shkurtër!” Thuaju (atyre): “Kënaqësitë e kësaj jete janë të vogla. Jeta tjetër është më e mirë për ata që i druajnë Perëndisë e s’bëjnë mëkate. Juve nuk do t’ju bëhet asnjë fije padrejtësi.

  2. Ayah 78

    أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ ۗ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَـٰذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَـٰذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ ۚ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَالِ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا

    Kudo që të gjendeni ju, do t’ju arrijë vdekja, madje qofshi edhe në kështjellat më të forta. Në qoftë se (hipokritëve) u arrin ndonjë e mirë, ata thonë: “Kjo është nga ana e Perëndisë”. E, nëse i godit ndonjë e ligë, ata thonë: “Kjo është prej teje (o Muhammed!)” Thuaju (atyre): “Të gjitha (e mira dhe e liga) janë prej Perëndisë”. Ç’është me këtë popull, që kurrsesi nuk e kupton (Kur’anin)?!

  3. Ayah 79

    مَّا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ ۚ وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولًا ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا

    E mira që të gjen ty o njeri, prej Perëndisë është, kurse e keqja që të godit, është nga merita jote. Na të kemi dërguar ty (o Muhammed!) për Profet të të gjithë njerëzve. E, Perëndia mjafton për dëshmitar (të profetnisë sate).

  4. Ayah 80

    مَّن يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ ۖ وَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا

    Kush i bindet Pejgamberit, ai iu ka bind Perëndisë. E, kush zmbrapset (mos u brengos), se Na nuk të kemi dërguar ty që të jesh rojtar i tyre.

  5. Ayah 81

    وَيَقُولُونَ طَاعَةٌ فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ بَيَّتَ طَائِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ الَّذِي تَقُولُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَ ۖ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا

    Dhe ata (hipokritët) thonë: “T’u kemi bind ty”. E kur largohen prej teje, një grup nga ata shjellojnë diçka tjetër nga ato që t’i thanë ty. Por Perëndia i shënon shtjellimet e tyre. Dhe largohu prej tyre, e mbështetu te Perëndia! Se Perëndia të mjafton ty për mbrojtës.

  6. Ayah 82

    أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيرًا

    A nuk e meditojnë ata Kur’anin! Sikur ai mos të ishte prej Perëndisë, do të gjenin në të shumë kontradiksione.

  7. Ayah 83

    وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ ۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

    Kur t’u vijë atyre ndonjë lajm i rëndësishëm që i përket sigurisë ose frikës, ata e përhapin ate, por në qoftë se ata këtë lajm ia përcjellin Pejgamberit dhe parisë (bashkëpunëtorëve të afërm të tij) do të kuptonin prej tyre vetëm atë, që dëshirojnë ta marrin vesh. Sikur të mos ishte mirësia e Perëndisë dhe mëshira e Tij, përpos një numri të vogël, ju të gjithë do të ndiqnit djallin.

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
