About this Surah

This Surah comprises several discourses which were revealed on different occasions during the period ranging probably between the end of A.H. 3 and the end of A.H. 4 or the beginning of A.H. 5. Although it is difficult to determine the exact dates of their revelations, yet it is possible to assign to them a fairly correct period with the help of the Commandments and the events mentioned therein and the Traditions concerning them.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. Ayah 36

    وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا

    Adhuronie Perëndinë, mos i bëni kurrnjë shoq Atij; bëni mirësi prindërve, të afërmëve, bonjakëve, të varfërve, fqinjëve të afërt dhe fqinjëve të largët, dhe atij që e ke pranë dhe udhëtarit (që ka mbetur ngushtë) dhe atyre që janë nën pushtetin tënd (skllavët). Se Perëndia, me të vërtetë, nuk i do ata, të cilët krenohen dhe lavdërohen,

  2. Ayah 37

    الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۗ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا

    ata që janë koprracë (që janë dorështrënguar), ndërsa kërkojnë që edhe të tjerët të bëhen koprracë dhe, fshehin atë që ua ka dhuruar Perëndia nga mirësitë e Tij, (këta janë njerëz të këqinj). Na kemi përgatitur për mohuesit ndëshkim poshtërues.

  3. Ayah 38

    وَالَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۗ وَمَن يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَانُ لَهُ قَرِينًا فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا

    (Perëndia nuk i don) as ata që ndajnë nga pasuria e tyre sa për sy e faqe të botës, e nuk besojnë Perëndinë as Ditën e Kijametit, (këta kanë për shok djallin), e ai që ka për shok djallin, dihet sa shok i keq është ai!

  4. Ayah 39

    وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيمًا

    E, ç’dëm do të kishin ata sikur të besonin Perëndinë dhe Ditën e Kijametit, dhe të ndanin nga pasuria që u ka dhënë Perëndia? Perëndia është njohës i mirë i tyre.

  5. Ayah 40

    إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

    Me të vërtetë, Perëndia as sa thërrmia nuk e dëmton askend; por në qoftë se mirësia është sa thërrmia, Perëndia e shumëfishon atë dhe jep nga mirësia e Tij shpërblim të madh.

  6. Ayah 41

    فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا

    Si do të jetë pozita e të këqinjve, kur prej çdo populli të sjellin dëshmitarë (pejgamberët) dhe të sjellin ty (o Muhammed!) për dëshmitar mbi të gjithë ata?!

  7. Ayah 42

    يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ اللَّهَ حَدِيثًا

    Atë ditë, ata që nuk kanë besuar dhe që nuk i janë bindur Pejgamberit, do të dëshironin të rrafshohen me tokë; e Perëndisë nuk mund t’ia fshehin asnjë fjalë.

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
