Surah Al-A'raf · The Heights

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. Ayah 68

    أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَأَنَا لَكُمْ نَاصِحٌ أَمِينٌ

    Jeg frembærer Herrens budskap til dere, og jeg er dere en oppriktig og tro rådgiver.

  2. Ayah 69

    أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِن بَعْدِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَزَادَكُمْ فِي الْخَلْقِ بَسْطَةً ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

    Undrer det dere at en påminnelse fra Herren kommer ved en mann fra deres midte? At han skal advare dere. Kom i hu Han har gjort dere til Noas folks arvinger, og at Han har øket deres utbredelse blant skapningene. Kom i hu Guds velgjerninger, så det må gå dere godt!»

  3. Ayah 70

    قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا ۖ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

    De sa: «Er du kommet til oss for at vi skal dyrke Gud alene, og oppgi det våre fedre dyrket? Nei, bare bring over oss det du truer oss med, om du taler sant!»

  4. Ayah 71

    قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌ ۖ أَتُجَادِلُونَنِي فِي أَسْمَاءٍ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ ۚ فَانتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُنتَظِرِينَ

    Da svarte han: «Måtte Herrens mishag og vrede ramme dere! Vil dere strides med meg om (tomme) navn, som dere og deres fedre har funnet på og som Gud ikke har sendt noen autorisasjon for? Bare vent dere! Jeg er likeledes avventende.»

  5. Ayah 72

    فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَقَطَعْنَا دَابِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ وَمَا كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ

    Så reddet Vi i Vår nåde ham og dem som fulgte ham, og utryddet siste rest av dem som forkastet Vårt ord, og som ikke trodde.

  6. Ayah 73

    وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ هَـٰذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً ۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

    Til folket Thamod sendte vi deres bror Salih, og han sa: «Hør, mitt folk! Tjen Gud! Dere har ingen annen Gud enn Ham! Nå er det kommet klar beskjed til dere fra deres Herre! Dette er Guds kamelhoppe, som et jærtegn for dere! La den beite i fred på Guds jord, og gjør den intet vondt! I så fall vil en smertelig straff ramme dere!

  7. Ayah 74

    وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِن بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

    Kom i hu at Han har gjort dere til folket Ads arvinger, og bosatt dere i landet, og at dere laget slott på slettene og hus i fjellsidene. Kom i hu Guds velgjerninger, og far ikke frem med ondskap og ufred på jorden.»

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
