Surah Al-A'raf · The Heights

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verses around 7:142

  1. Ayah 139

    إِنَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيهِ وَبَاطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

    Det disse holder på med, skal bli knust, og verdiløst er det de har gjort.»

  2. Ayah 140

    قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَـٰهًا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ

    Han sa videre: «Skulle jeg vel ønske en annen gud for dere enn Gud? Han som har utvalgt dere fremfor all verden?»

  3. Ayah 141

    وَإِذْ أَنجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ ۖ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَاءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ

    Da dere ble reddet fra Farao og hans folk, som påførte dere store lidelser, drepte deres sønner og lot deres kvinner leve! I dette var en stor prøvelse fra Herren!

  4. Ayah 142

    وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَاثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

    Vi avsatte Moses 30 døgn, og Vi la til ti døgn, slik at hans tid med Herren ble 40 døgn. Moses sa til sin bror, Aron: «Overta for meg overfor mitt folk og gjør tingene vel. Følg ikke ufredsstifternes vei!»

  5. Ayah 143

    وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَىٰ لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنظُرْ إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ لَن تَرَانِي وَلَـٰكِنِ انظُرْ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي ۚ فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا ۚ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Da Moses kom til den fastsatte tid, og Herren talte til ham, sa han: «Min herre, vis Deg for meg, så jeg kan se Deg!» Men Herren svarte: «Du får ikke se Meg. Men se på det fjellet! Hvis det forblir på sin plass, skal du få se Meg!» Men da Herren viste seg for fjellet, pulverisertes det, og Moses falt om besvimt. Da han kom til seg selv igjen, sa han: «Ære være Deg! Jeg vender meg til Deg som den første troende.»

  6. Ayah 144

    قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنِّي اصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسَالَاتِي وَبِكَلَامِي فَخُذْ مَا آتَيْتُكَ وَكُن مِّنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ

    Han sa: «Moses, Jeg utvelger deg fremfor alle mennesker for Mitt budskap og Mitt ord! Motta det Jeg gir deg, og vis takknemlighet!»

  7. Ayah 145

    وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْعِظَةً وَتَفْصِيلًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَخُذْهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَأْمُرْ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُوا بِأَحْسَنِهَا ۚ سَأُرِيكُمْ دَارَ الْفَاسِقِينَ

    Og Vi skrev alt på tavlene for ham, til formaning og forklaring på alt. «Hold fast ved disse, og pålegg ditt folk å følge deres uforlignelige anvisninger. Jeg vil vise dere de ugudeliges bosted.

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
