Surah Al-A'raf · Al-A‘rтf

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verses around 7:166

  1. Ayah 163

    وَاسْأَلْهُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ الْبَحْرِ إِذْ يَعْدُونَ فِي السَّبْتِ إِذْ تَأْتِيهِمْ حِيتَانُهُمْ يَوْمَ سَبْتِهِمْ شُرَّعًا وَيَوْمَ لَا يَسْبِتُونَ ۙ لَا تَأْتِيهِمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَبْلُوهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ

    Chiedi loro a proposito della città sul mare in cui veniva trasgredito il sabato, [chiedi] dei pesci che salivano alla superficie nel giorno del sabato e che invece non affioravano negli altri giorni! Così li mettemmo alla prova, perché dimostrassero la loro empietà.

  2. Ayah 164

    وَإِذْ قَالَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِّنْهُمْ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًا ۙ اللَّهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ۖ قَالُوا مَعْذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

    E quando alcuni di loro dissero: “Perché ammonite un popolo che Allah distruggerà o punirà con duro castigo?”. Risposero: “Per avere una scusa di fronte al vostro Signore e affinché [Lo] temano!”.

  3. Ayah 165

    فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ أَنجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ السُّوءِ وَأَخَذْنَا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا بِعَذَابٍ بَئِيسٍ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ

    Quando poi dimenticarono quello che era stato loro ricordato, salvammo coloro che proibivano il male e colpimmo con severo castigo coloro che erano stati ingiusti e che perversamente agivano.

  4. Ayah 166

    فَلَمَّا عَتَوْا عَن مَّا نُهُوا عَنْهُ قُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ

    Quando poi per orgoglio si ribellarono a ciò che era stato loro vietato, dicemmo loro: “Siate scimmie reiette!”.

  5. Ayah 167

    وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَيَبْعَثَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَن يَسُومُهُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَسَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

    E il tuo Signore annunciò che avrebbe inviato contro di loro qualcuno che li avrebbe duramente castigati, fino al Giorno della Resurrezione! In verità il tuo Signore è sollecito nel castigo, ma è anche perdonatore, misericordioso.

  6. Ayah 168

    وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أُمَمًا ۖ مِّنْهُمُ الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَبَلَوْنَاهُم بِالْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

    Li dividemmo sulla terra in comunità diverse. Tra loro ci sono genti del bene e altre [che non lo sono]. Li mettemmo alla prova con prosperità e avversità, affinché ritornassero [sulla retta via].

  7. Ayah 169

    فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا الْكِتَابَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَـٰذَا الْأَدْنَىٰ وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِّثْلُهُ يَأْخُذُوهُ ۚ أَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِم مِّيثَاقُ الْكِتَابِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُوا مَا فِيهِ ۗ وَالدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

    Dopo di loro vennero altre generazioni che ereditarono la Scrittura. Sfruttarono i beni del mondo terreno dicendo: “Presto saremo perdonati”. Se fossero giunti altri beni terreni, ugualmente, se ne sarebbero appropriati! Non avevano accettato il patto della Scrittura, secondo cui non avrebbero detto, su Allah, altro che la verità? Proprio loro che avevano studiato ciò che essa contiene? La dimora ultima è la migliore per i timorati; ancora non lo capite?

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
