Surah Al-Baqarah · La Giovenca

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. Ayah 60

    وَإِذِ اسْتَسْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ فَقُلْنَا اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۖ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِن رِّزْقِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

    E quando Mosè chiese acqua per il suo popolo, dicemmo: “Colpisci la roccia con il tuo bastone”. E, improvvisamente, sgorgarono dodici fonti, e ogni tribù seppe dove doveva bere! “Mangiate e bevete il sostentamento di Allah e non spargete la corruzione sulla terra.”

  2. Ayah 61

    وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ مِن بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّائِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا ۖ قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَىٰ بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ۚ اهْبِطُوا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ ۗ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ

    E quando diceste: “O Mosè, non possiamo più tollerare un unico alimento. Prega per noi il tuo Signore che, dalla terra, faccia crescere per noi legumi, cetrioli, aglio, lenticchie e cipolle!”. Egli disse: “Volete scambiare il meglio con il peggio? Tornate in Egitto, colà troverete certamente quello che chiedete!”. E furono colpiti dall'abiezione e dalla miseria e subirono la collera di Allah, perché dissimulavano i segni di Allah e uccidevano i profeti ingiustamente. Questo perché disobbedivano e trasgredivano.

  3. Ayah 62

    إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالنَّصَارَىٰ وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

    In verità, coloro che credono, siano essi giudei, nazareni o sabei, tutti coloro che credono in Allah e nell'Ultimo Giorno e compiono il bene riceveranno il compenso presso il loro Signore. Non avranno nulla da temere e non saranno afflitti.

  4. Ayah 63

    وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

    E quando stringemmo il Patto con voi ed elevammo il Monte: “Tenetevi saldi a quello che vi abbiamo dato e ricordatevi di quello che contiene!”. Forse potrete essere timorati!

  5. Ayah 64

    ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

    Ma poi volgeste le spalle, e senza la grazia di Allah e la Sua misericordia per voi, sareste certamente stati tra i perdenti.

  6. Ayah 65

    وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَوْا مِنكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ

    Avrete saputo di quelli dei vostri che trasgredirono il Sabato ai quali dicemmo: “Siate scimmie reiette”.

  7. Ayah 66

    فَجَعَلْنَاهَا نَكَالًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

    Ne facemmo un terribile esempio per i loro contemporanei e per le generazioni che sarebbero seguite e un ammonimento ai timorati.

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
