بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. Ayah 76

    يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَـٰذَا ۖ إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ آتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ

    “O Abramo, desisti da ciò, che già il Decreto del tuo Signore è deciso. Giungerà loro un castigo irrevocabile.”

  2. Ayah 77

    وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَـٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ

    E quando i Nostri angeli si recarono da Lot, egli ne ebbe pena e si rammaricò della debolezza del suo braccio. Disse: “Questo è un giorno terribile!”.

  3. Ayah 78

    وَجَاءَهُ قَوْمُهُ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي ۖ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ

    La gente del suo popolo andò da lui tutta eccitata. Già avevano commesso azioni empie. Disse [loro]: “O popol mio, ecco le mie figlie, sono più pure per voi. Temete Allah e non svergognatemi davanti ai miei ospiti. Non c'è, fra voi, un uomo di coscienza?”.

  4. Ayah 79

    قَالُوا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ

    Dissero: “Sai bene che non abbiamo alcun diritto sulle tue figlie, sai bene quello che vogliamo!”.

  5. Ayah 80

    قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ

    Disse: “Se potessi disporre di forza contro di voi, se solo potessi trovare saldo appoggio...”.

  6. Ayah 81

    قَالُوا يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ مُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ

    [Gli angeli] dissero: “O Lot, noi siamo i messaggeri del tuo Signore. Costoro non potranno toccarti. Fa' partire la tua gente sul finire della notte, e nessuno di voi guardi indietro (eccetto tua moglie, ché in verità, ciò che accadrà a loro, accadrà anche a lei).nIn verità, la scadenza è l'alba; non è forse vicina l'alba?”.

  7. Ayah 82

    فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ

    Quando poi giunse il Nostro Decreto, rivoltammo la città sottosopra e facemmo piovere su di essa pietre d'argilla indurita,

About the Quran

The Quran

The Quran is the holy scripture of Islam. Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs are the later Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. They were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
