Surah Al-Mutaffifin - I Frodatori
Ayah 1
Guai ai frodatori,
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
Ayah 2
che quando comprano esigono colma la misura,
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
Ayah 3
ma quando sono loro a misurare o a pesare, truffano.
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
Ayah 4
Non pensano che saranno resuscitati,
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ
Ayah 5
in un Giorno terribile,
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Ayah 6
il Giorno in cui le genti saranno ritte davanti al Signore dei mondi?
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Ayah 7
No, in verità, il registro dei peccatori è nella Segreta;
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
Ayah 8
e chi mai ti farà comprendere cos'è la Segreta ?
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
Ayah 9
È uno scritto vergato.
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
Ayah 10
Guai, in quel Giorno, a coloro che tacciano di menzogna,
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Ayah 11
che tacciano di menzogna il Giorno del Giudizio.
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Ayah 12
Non lo taccia di menzogna altri che il peccatore inveterato,
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
Ayah 13
che, quando gli sono recitati i Nostri versetti, dice: “Favole degli antichi!”.
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Ayah 14
Niente affatto: è piuttosto quello che fanno che copre i loro cuori.
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Ayah 15
Niente affatto: in verità in quel Giorno un velo li escluderà dal vedere il loro Signore,
كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
Ayah 16
e poi cadranno nella Fornace.
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ
Ayah 17
Sarà detto loro: “Ecco quello che tacciavate di menzogna!”.
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Ayah 18
Niente affatto: il registro dei caritatevoli sarà nelle Altezze.
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
Ayah 19
E chi mai ti farà comprendere cosa sono le Altezze?
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
Ayah 20
È uno scritto vergato.
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
Ayah 21
I ravvicinati ne renderanno testimonianza.
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
Ayah 22
I giusti saranno nella delizia,
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
Ayah 23
[appoggiati] su alti divani guarderanno.
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
Ayah 24
Sui loro volti vedrai il riflesso della Delizia.
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
Ayah 25
Berranno un nettare puro, suggellato
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ
Ayah 26
con suggello di muschio - che vi aspirino coloro che ne sono degni -
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
Ayah 27
[un nettare] mescolato con Tasnîm,
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ
Ayah 28
fonte di cui berranno i ravvicinati.
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
Ayah 29
Invero i malvagi schernivano i credenti;
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
Ayah 30
quando passavano nei loro pressi si davano occhiate,
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
Ayah 31
ritornando dalla loro gente, si burlavano di loro;
وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
Ayah 32
e quando li vedevano, dicevano: “Davvero sono fuorviati!”.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ
Ayah 33
Certo non hanno avuto l'incarico di vegliare su di loro.
وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
Ayah 34
Oggi invece sono i credenti a ridere dei miscredenti:
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
Ayah 35
[appoggiati] su alti divani guarderanno.
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
Ayah 36
I miscredenti non sono forse compensati per quello che hanno fatto?
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ

Quran

is the holy scripture of Islam. Muslims believe that it is the literal word of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎), revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) over a period of 23 years. The Quran is composed of 114 Suras (chapters) and contains 6,236 Ayat (verses). Muslim beliefs and practices are based on the Quran and the Sunnah (the teachings and example of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)).

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations that were sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs of the noble Quran are the latest 24 Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed at Medina after Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. These Surahs were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
