La città e il territorio della Mecca.

Surah Ar-Rahman - Il Compassionevole
Ayah 1
Il Compassionevole,
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ
Ayah 2
ha insegnato il Corano,
عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ
Ayah 3
ha creato l'uomo
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ
Ayah 4
e gli ha insegnato ad esprimersi.
عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ
Ayah 5
Il sole e la luna [si muovono] secondo calcolo [preciso].
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
Ayah 6
E si prosternano le stelle e gli alberi.
وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
Ayah 7
Ha elevato il cielo e ha eretto la bilancia,
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ
Ayah 8
affinché non frodiate nella bilancia:
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ
Ayah 9
stabilite il peso con equità e non falsate la bilancia.
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ
Ayah 10
La terra l'ha disposta per le creature:
وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
Ayah 11
vi crescono frutti e palme dalle spate protette
فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ
Ayah 12
e cereali nei loro involucri e piante aromatiche.
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ
Ayah 13
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 14
Creò l'uomo di argilla risonante come terraglia
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ
Ayah 15
e i dèmoni da fiamma di un fuoco senza fumo.
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
Ayah 16
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 17
Il Signore dei due Orienti e il Signore dei due Occidenti.
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
Ayah 18
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 19
Ha lasciato liberi mari affinché si incontrassero,
مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
Ayah 20
[ma] fra loro vi è una barriera che non possono oltrepassare.
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
Ayah 21
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 22
Da entrambi si estraggono la perla e il corallo.
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
Ayah 23
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 24
A Lui [appartengono] le navi, alte sul mare come colline.
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
Ayah 25
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 26
Tutto quel che è sulla terra è destinato a perire,
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
Ayah 27
[solo] rimarrà il Volto del tuo Signore, pieno di Maestà e di Magnificenza.
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Ayah 28
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 29
Lo invocano tutti quelli che sono nei cieli e sulla terra. È ogni giorno in [nuova] opera.
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ
Ayah 30
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 31
Presto ci occuperemo di voi, o due pesi!
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ
Ayah 32
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 33
O consesso dei dèmoni e degli uomini, se potrete varcare i limiti dei cieli e della terra, fatelo. Non fuggirete senza un'autorità [proveniente da Allah].
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ
Ayah 34
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 35
Sarà inviata contro entrambi fiamma ardente e rame fuso e non sarete soccorsi.
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
Ayah 36
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 37
Quando si fenderà il cielo e sarà come cuoio rossastro,
فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ
Ayah 38
quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 39
In quel Giorno né gli uomini, né i dèmoni, saranno interrogati sui loro peccati.
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ
Ayah 40
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 41
Gli empi saranno riconosciuti dai loro segni e afferrati per il ciuffo e per i piedi.
يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ
Ayah 42
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 43
[Sarà detto loro:] “Ecco l'Inferno che i colpevoli negavano!”
هَـٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Ayah 44
Vagheranno tra esso e il magma ribollente.
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ
Ayah 45
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 46
Per chi avrà temuto di presentarsi [al cospetto] del suo Signore ci saranno due Giardini.
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ
Ayah 47
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 48
Di fresche fronde.
ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ
Ayah 49
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 50
In entrambi sgorgano due fonti.
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
Ayah 51
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 52
In entrambi due specie di ogni frutto.
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
Ayah 53
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 54
Saranno appoggiati, [i loro ospiti], su divani rivestiti internamente di broccato, e i frutti dei due giardini saranno a portata di mano.
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
Ayah 55
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 56
Vi saranno colà quelle dagli sguardi casti, mai toccate da uomini o da dèmoni.
فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ
Ayah 57
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 58
Saranno simili a rubino e corallo.
كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
Ayah 59
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 60
Qual altro compenso del bene se non il bene?
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ
Ayah 61
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 62
E [ci saranno] altri due giardini oltre a quelli.
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
Ayah 63
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 64
Entrambi di un verde scurissimo.
مُدْهَامَّتَانِ
Ayah 65
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 66
In entrambi due sorgenti sgorganti.
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
Ayah 67
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 68
In entrambi frutti, palme e melograni.
فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
Ayah 69
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 70
E [fanciulle] pie e belle.
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ
Ayah 71
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 72
E fanciulle dai grandi occhi neri ritirate nelle loro tende.
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ
Ayah 73
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 74
Che nessun uomo o demone mai han toccato.
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ
Ayah 75
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 76
Staranno appoggiati su verdi cuscini e meravigliosi tappeti.
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ
Ayah 77
Quale dunque dei benefici del vostro Signore negherete?
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Ayah 78
Sia benedetto il Nome del tuo Signore, colmo di Maestà e di Magnificenza.
تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

Quran

is the holy scripture of Islam. Muslims believe that it is the literal word of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎), revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) over a period of 23 years. The Quran is composed of 114 Suras (chapters) and contains 6,236 Ayat (verses). Muslim beliefs and practices are based on the Quran and the Sunnah (the teachings and example of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)).

Meccan Surahs

The Meccan Surahs are the earliest revelations that were sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). They were revealed in Mecca, hence their name. These revelations form the foundation of the Islamic faith and contain guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives. The Meccan Surahs are also notable for their poetic beauty and lyrical prose.

Medinan Surahs

The Medinan Surahs of the noble Quran are the latest 24 Surahs that, according to Islamic tradition, were revealed at Medina after Prophet Muhammad's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijra from Mecca. These Surahs were revealed by Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) when the Muslim community was larger and more developed, as opposed to their minority position in Mecca.
